LOS ANGELES – Leading music licensing, publishing, and management company Secret Road Music Services is pleased to announce the addition of highly respected music executive Joshua Sarubin. In his newly created role as head of A&R/Publishing, New York-based Sarubin will work with artists and songwriters already on the Secret Road Music Publishing roster as well as signing and developing new writers and artists.

“Josh has great ears, artists love him, and he brings a wealth of experience from both the label and publishing worlds that enhance our mission here at Secret Road," says Secret Road founder/president Lynn Grossman. "His addition ensures us the ability to offer the same level of personal attention to our artists in the publishing realm that we provide in licensing and management."

Sarubin's A&R experience includes stints at Columbia, Arista and Island Def Jam. Most recently he served as Vice President of A&R at Sony ATV Music Publishing. Among the acts he has signed or worked with are Avril Lavigne, Pink, Santana, Presidents of the United States of America, Lionel Richie and Lady Gaga.

"Working at Secret Road is a dream come true for me," says Sarubin. "I have always admired their incredible success in music licensing, and they have such an amazing roster of artists and writers. Secret Road is the future of the music business, and I'm excited to be a part of it."

Since Grossman founded Secret Road in 2007, the company has launched the career of platinum-selling, indie pop artist Ingrid Michaelson and has grown to represent more than 80 artists and a catalog in excess of 4,000 songs for licensing. The company is unique in that it offers clients a one-stop shop by instantly clearing both mechanical and synchronization rights. Secret Road has placed songs in such highly rated television shows as "Grey’s Anatomy," "Parenthood," and "Pretty Little Liars," and in such films as "What to Expect When You’re Expecting," "Something Borrowed," and "No Strings Attached." Additionally, Secret Road artists have provided music in commercials for Chevrolet, Target, and Google, among others. Last year, the company expanded into publishing with the creation of Secret Road Music Publishing, as well as launching a Latin music division.
