Ingrid MIchaelson Announces Stranger Things-Inspired Album, Stranger Songs

INGRID MICHAELSON ANNOUNCES STRANGER THINGS-INSPIRED ALBUM, STRANGER SONGS!

Ingrid Michaelson is thrilled to announce her next project, Stranger Songs, a record inspired by the Netflix sci-fi original series Stranger Things.

“Finding your connection to another’s art isn’t something I’ve ever built a record on but I feel so inspired by the world Stranger Things has created,” Michaelson said in a statement. “This show brings me back to a place of safety and comfort when everything seemed simple. Especially after losing my parents, the idea of living in that space, even for an hour at a time, is not only intoxicating, it’s necessary. I started writing poems inspired by the show and I realized how connected I was to it and my childhood and to that innocence lost.”

Michaelson will time the release of her set to Stranger Things’ Season 3 debut, which has not yet been announced. Season 2 aired in late October, so that may be a clue.

Secret Road Records Releases ADLT VDEO's Debut EP Chameleon

SECRET ROAD RECORDS IS PROUD TO PRESENT ADLT VDEO'S DEBUT EP CHAMELEON!

Born out of a mutual affinity for taking creative left turns, Luke Top (Fool's Gold) and Mindy Jones (Moby) embarked on a musical experiment inspired by the cinematic imagery of Michael Crichton's Westworld, Electropop, and Motown. The convergence of these interests saw the duo landing at a unique take on the modern pop recording; being simultaneously hazy and soulful, epic and intimate, dark and light. Mindy Jones' sultry and emotive vocals weave powerfully through Luke Top's distinctively arranged production style to spark something altogether strange and seductive.

Chameleon EP was released on October 20th. Purchase it on Apple Music-iTunes or check it out on Spotify now!
